A Peter Lamborn Wilson and Lawrence Ferlinghetti reading with Wilson discussing Harry Smith in a talk he calls, "Praying in darkness." Wilson also discusses Chinese shamanism. Ferlinghetti reads with musical accompaniment by Steven Taylor. They perform "The greedy blues" and "The breeding blues," followed by a series of poems. The reading ends with "Are there not still fireflies" and "Rivers of light."

This is reading given during the summer of 2000 with Thalia Field, Alexs Pate, and Eileen Myles. In this reading there is a variety of prose and poetry best showing what they were working on at the time.
A panel with Chris Baer, Wang Ping, and Thalia Field, with the panelists discussing their individual backgrounds and methods of composition. Special focus is given to using personal experience as raw material for writing, expressing pain in writing, voice, and point of view.
A talk, "The Uncontainable," given by Kathleen Fraser at the Naropa Institute July 5, 1996. Kathleen delivers her talk then opens up the room for questions. Steven Taylor and Lee Ann Brown take part in the Q&A.
A lecture by Kathleen Fraser entitled "The Secret Life of a Convicted Lyric Poet." Fraser traces her own history and literary development in relation to the lyric. She reads from Elizabeth Willis' "Some Thoughts on the Late Lyric" and an interview with Robert Gluck on the lyric and prosody. The lecture continues with Fraser reading from her own works, including: "Blues for Sylvia," "Gloom's Song" and "They Did Not Make Conversation."
